GST accounting with AI for MSMEs: GSTR-1 export and approvals built in

BiltIQ Business OS GST accounting is double-entry accounting with GST and GSTR-1 export built in, for Indian MSMEs. Its AI copilot drafts entries and proposes changes, and the 23 tools that change data wait for a person to approve. The subscription is launch pricing at ₹3,500 a month per firm, not yet on sale; it opens in Jul 2027 (targeted).

We'll walk you through it on sample data.

Problem

The problem: GST work done twice

  • Rebuilt every month. Sales sit in one tool, accounts in Tally or Excel, and GST data is put together again at month-end.
  • Corrections off the record. Fixes get agreed over chat, with no trail in the books.
  • An assistant you cannot trust with the ledger. One that edits entries on its own is a risk at audit time.
Built today

GST accounting software with AI: what is built today

  • Double-entry books. Every journal balances, and sales post to the ledger.
  • GST on invoices and credit notes, with GSTR-1 export from the same books.
  • TDS register and certificates.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Stock, BOMs and attendance, for manufacturing and trading MSMEs.
  • CRM, sales and projects on the same pipeline, so a quote becomes an invoice and then a ledger entry.
Not built yet

What is not built yet

IRN e-invoice generation and the e-way bill API are on our roadmap; they are not built. Today the e-way bill is typed in by hand. If your firm must issue e-invoices with an IRN now, Business OS does not do that yet. A direct Tally or Zoho importer and TDS codes under the new Income-tax Act are also on the roadmap.

How the copilot works

How the AI copilot works with your books

  1. Propose.

Your SI copilot drafts an entry or calls a tool that changes data.

  2. Check.

Role permissions apply, closed by default; bad inputs are rejected.

  3. Wait.

The change is frozen with a preview in the approval inbox. It expires after 72 hours.

  4. Decide.

Approve, and it runs. Decline, and your SI is told. Every copilot call goes to an append-only log.

Moving across

Moving from Tally, Zoho or Excel

Moving from Tally or Zoho: opening balances set at go-live; inventory and BOMs import from Excel/CSV; a direct Tally/Zoho importer is on the roadmap.

FAQ

FAQ

Is there GST accounting software with AI for MSMEs?

BiltIQ Business OS is double-entry accounting with GST and GSTR-1 export built in, plus an SI copilot that drafts and proposes while a person approves. It also covers CRM, sales, stock, BOMs and HR. The MSME subscription is launch pricing at ₹3,500 a month per firm, ex-GST; it is not yet on sale and opens in Jul 2027 (targeted).

Can the AI prepare our GSTR-1?

Business OS builds your GSTR-1 data from the invoices and credit notes already in your books, and exports it. Filing on the GST portal stays with you or your CA. Because sales post straight to the ledger, the GSTR-1 data and your accounts come from the same records, so GSTR-1 data doesn't need rebuilding at month-end.

Can the AI post entries to our books without approval?

No. Business OS has 66 copilot tools, and the 23 that change data all wait for a person. Your SI proposes; a person approves. Each proposed change sits frozen in the approval inbox with a preview and expires after 72 hours if nobody approves it. Every copilot call is written to an append-only action log.

Can we import our data from Tally or Zoho into the AI accounting software?

Partly. Opening balances are set per account at go-live, and inventory, production BOMs and HR attendance import from Excel or CSV. There is no direct Tally or Zoho importer yet; it is on the roadmap. BiltIQ scopes the move on a scoping call and confirms it in a written phase-1 plan before you commit.

How much does the Business OS AI accounting software cost?

Subscribe: ₹3,500 a month per firm, or ₹4.5 L a year plus ₹5 L implementation for larger firms. This is launch pricing; it is not yet on sale and opens in Jul 2027 (targeted). Own it on your servers: ₹20–40 L for licence and implementation, plus an 18% yearly AMC. All prices are ex-GST.

GST return AI se kaise bharein?

Business OS mein aapke invoices aur credit notes se GSTR-1 ka data apne aap ban jaata hai, aur aap use export kar sakte hain. GST portal par filing aap ya aapke CA karte hain. AI jo bhi badlaav suggest kare, woh tabhi lagta hai jab koi person approve kare. Subscription Jul 2027 (targeted) se, ₹3,500 mahina, abhi sale par nahi.
